Name: Daniel Estes
Current Role/Job Title: Director of Operations
Company: R3 Dynamics, LLC
Length of time at current company: 5 ½ Years
Length of time in industry: 10 Years
How did you get your start in the industry?
I had recently graduated college, got married two weeks later, and realized I needed a job. So I took a job as a Collector. The plan was not to stay in this industry as I had plans to work in the music business. However, that all changed as I began to work my way up. I became a trainer and took on management roles until I got to the point I’m at today.
What is your career highlight so far?
I’ve either created or re-developed the training process for three different companies. With R3 Dynamics, one of the first projects I took on was creating and developing the training process which we still use today. Creating presentations, videos, and processes from scratch. I love seeing others succeed. That is my hope for all our employees at R3 Dynamics and seeing the work I’ve put in help people is extremely gratifying.
When or how are you most productive?
I am an early morning person. Most mornings I’m up at 4am, work out, drink coffee, get my son up and going and we are out the door. I feel like some of my best inspiration is while driving into work thinking about what the day has in store for me.
Which industry professional do you admire most?
I have great admiration for Chris Morgan, our company’s President. And I don’t say that just because he writes my checks. 😊 He has invested a great deal in me and seeing the level of care he has for the industry and for the people in our company is incredible.
What is one thing you do better than everyone else?
Not sure I’m better than everyone else. But I enjoy developing and starting projects from the ground up. I have always been good at coming up ideas and starting new things.
What do you like most about this industry?
I love the opportunity that it gives people. I love seeing people grow within our company and get passionate about helping others. It is an avenue to help consumers through tough situations.

What is one thing you wish you could change about this industry?
I would love for there to be more clarity on communications, with the idea of being able to help the consumer.
If you weren’t in this industry, what would you be doing?
I have always wanted to be a storm chaser.
Describe a typical work day.
Each day holds something new. Working for a small agency, I wear many hats to try and help us accomplish our overall goals. That is also what I love about my job.
What is your guilty pleasure?
I love watching Avengers’ movies and shows. When COVID first began, my family and I watched all the shows and movies in chronological order. It was quite an adventure.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
“If you aim to be 1% better each day for one year, you will be 37 times better by the time you’re done”. A friend led me to this quote from the book “Atomic Habits” by James Clear. This quote has been my motto for the last year plus and it has changed my world.
What are you currently reading?
I really love rucking and currently am participating in Go Ruck’s Tribe. Each month with tribe there is a rucking/physical challenge and a reading challenge. I’m currently reading this month’s book, which is “Generation Kill” by Evan Wright, which is based on his firsthand knowledge with the marine’s invasion of Iraq in 2003.
What is one fact you’d like everyone in the industry to know about you?
As part of a challenge, I did 3,428 Burpees in the month of January. The goal was 3,100.
