N.Y. Collectors Association Offering Free Webinar on New Sexual Harassment Training Requirements

CLARIFICATION: The date for the webinar will be Wednesday, Feb. 13, not Tuesday, Feb. 13 as originally indicated.

ATTENTION NYS AGENCY OWNERS! New York State has passed some fairly significant new requirements with respect to sexual harassment in the workplace. In short, employers (of only one employee) are now required to conduct annual training for all employees and independent contractors.

Further, employers must promulgate a comprehensive sexual harassment policy that complies with the new requirements and must understand the new requirements for settling any sexual harassment claims with respect to confidentiality and with respect to mandatory arbitration agreements that cover sexual harassment claims.

The NYS Collectors Association is sponsoring a teleseminar, at no cost, to help you!

WHEN: Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at 12:00 noon

WHERE: Dial-in number: 701-801-1211. Access code: 287-872-143#

This training will cover all that you need to know as an employer and will allow those who attend to obtain knowledge sufficient to conduct your own workplace trainings in these subjects, obviating the need to hire someone else to conduct such training. Training materials for your future use will be provided.
