FCC EXPECTED TO NARROW ITS ENFORCEMENT FOCUS
- Ajit Pai, the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, is likely to impose an enforcement “shot clock,” giving the agency a year to resolve enforcement cases after filing a Notice of Apparent Liability (NAL). - At the same time that the FCC is looking to ease its regulatory presence, President Trump signed an executive order on Friday, requiring all federal agencies to establish a regulatory reform task force. The goal of the task forces will be to review existing regulations with an eye toward identifying and repealing rules that are deemed to be excessive.
