The Department of Veterans Affairs has opened a new call center to resolve debt collection issues resulting from issues associated with the agency’s “Choice Program” healthcare service.
The call center is intended to help veterans deal with issues associated with credit reporting and debt collections resulting from inappropriately billed Choice Program claims.
The Veterans Choice program has been plagued with problems, and some lawmakers have proposed overhauling the $10 billion program. which is intended to give veterans access to private healthcare solutions.
