GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Compliance Specialist contributes to and supports the Audit and Compliance Department, its management, as well as partners with contracted Law Firms and Collection Agencies (“servicers”) and Sellers with the intent of progression of the regulatory aspects of our relationships with each.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Compliance Auditors review account-level information received from servicers.
Oversee the servicer verbal communication processes and partner with CAM’s speech analytics vendors.
Communicate with servicers related to call remediation, call exception reporting, track responses and trend results.
Assist with organizing and conducting monthly Compliance Scorecards related to call metrics.
Maintain servicer licensing and insurance documentation.
Assist in gathering information for Seller Audits.
Additional tasks the Director, Audit & Compliance assign related to seller functions and internal audits.
Maintain compliance email box.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly complex, results-driven environment and readily adapt to changes.
Ability to juggle multiple work efforts and quickly change direction, as needed.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Proven experience and competency in collaborating across the organization to accomplish A&C Goals that support CAM’s overall objectives and core values.
Self-motivated, operates with a sense of urgency and strong attention to detail, deadline focused.
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills and ability to converse with management at all levels, both internally and with CAM servicers.
Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Openness to new ways of thinking and acquiring new skills.
Thoughtful process of analyzing data and problem-solving to reach a well-reasoned solution.
Partnering effectively to drive our culture and execute CAM’s goals and objectives.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Collector experience or collection industry internal audit controls that include verbal communication with consumers.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Assist the Director, Audit & Compliance in identifying, assessing, and improving risk management processes across CAM’s network of servicers and internally.
Effectively contribute to projects that impact the Audit and Compliance department and CAM.
Self-motivated, results driven, and perform tasks with limited daily supervision.
PERFORMANCE METRICS:
Meeting assigned tasks and objectives accurately and timely.
Attendance and punctuality.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
