The next wave of devices and services powered by artificial intelligence is here and they aim to make it easier for consumers to take care of errands and tasks easier than ever before. For companies in the ARM industry, it’s important to be aware of these trends so companies can adapt their operations to how consumers are interacting with technology and with the outside world.
One device that is getting a lot of attention is called the Rabbit R1. About the size of a smartphone, the device has a button that you push to talk into it like a walkie-talkie. Users can ask the device to order food from DoorDash, order you an Uber, or even book a vacation for you. The device takes into account the user’s preferences and tastes to make suggestions.
The Rabbit is the first piece of hardware that taps into AI and takes talking to Alexa or Siri to the next level. Will it be enough for people to carry around another device in their pocket? Perhaps.
If AI-based hardware isn’t enough to get you out of bed, how about new technology from Google that will use AI to place a call to a business, automatically navigate a phone tree to speak with a live human, and then call you when the human picks up the call? Called “Talk to a Live Rep” the technology builds on existing tech that will call you when a human picks up a call, but only after you navigate the phone tree to request a conversation with a human.
Talk to a Live Rep is also more widely available than the previous iteration of the software, Google said.
