COLLECTOR SUED FOR SENDING 19 EMAILS AFTER CONSUMER DISPUTED DEBT
- If you are going to communicate with consumers via email, and allow them to send email back to you, then companies need to be ready to reply to those emails. A collector is facing a Fair Debt Collection Practices Act suit for allegedly failing to respond to an email dispute submitted by the plaintiff and sending additional emails without allegedly validating the debt.

JUDGE DISMISSES TRIO OF FDCPA SUITS FILED BY SAME PLAINTIFF FOR BEING FRIVOLOUS
- A District Court judge in Georgia has dismissed three separate Fair Debt Collection Practices Act lawsuits filed by a plaintiff representing himself, ruling that in each of the cases the plaintiff failed to provide enough evidence to confirm that any of the defendants were, in fact, debt collectors.
