An unspeakable tragedy has befallen a long-serving and respected member of the ARM community.
Cheyenne Pratt-Brown, the daughter of John Pratt and the sister of Jason Pratt of Portfolio Management Group, was killed last week in an apparent murder-suicide involving her husband, Luke Brown. Cheyenne was 24 and leaves behind an seven-month-old daughter, Melody, who will now be raised by John Pratt and his wife, Carla. The Pratt’s have established a GoFundMe page to help cover the costs and expenses associated with this horrific event. Funds can donated by clicking here.
John Pratt has been incredibly forthcoming on his personal Facebook page, sharing many of the tragic details. A motive has not yet been made public. Cheyenne was the youngest daughter of John and Carla Pratt, and was working at the Whirlpool Corp., with plans to attend management classes in college in the fall. Cheyenne went as far as to learn sign language so she could speak to a deaf co-worker, her father wrote in her obituary.
The funeral for Cheyenne was held Saturday in Mount Gilead, Ohio. Along with Jason, Cheyenne had two other siblings, a brother Joe and a sister Shawna.
From her obituary:
Cheyenne had a wide array of interests. She loved photography, taking pictures of “everything”, especially of her beloved daughter, Melody, nature, cats, and even of her cosplay adventures. She also enjoyed reading, going to yard sales and watching Marvel movies. She had a green thumb, planting many vegetables and flowers, growing an especially large crop of grape tomatoes.
