- For anyone considering making robocalls, consider this: the Federal Communications Commission has proposed a $120 million fine against Adrian Abramovich — the robo-call king. Sounds like a lot, right? Well, maybe not. Abramovich is accused of making more than 96 million robocalls during a three-month period last year. The calls were to sell timeshare packages, and used well-known names like TripAdvisor, Hilton, and Marriott to get people to hear the pitch. Abramovich has 30 days to respond to the proposed fine.
