AGENCY SUPERVISOR RETIRING AFTER 45 YEARS
- Jane Adamson, the office supervisor at Credit Collection Services in Yankton, S.D., is retiring after 45 years at the agency. She and her husband, who retired a few years ago, actually owned the business for 20 years before selling it in 2003. A reluctance to learn “about new computer systems” and the realization that she didn’t want to try for 50 years at the agency were a couple of the reasons why she decided to retire.
MORE PATIENTS NOT ABLE TO PAY THEIR HEALTHCARE BILLS: TRANSUNION
- The number of patients who are not able to pay their healthcare bills in full is rising and may reach 95% by 2020, according to data released yesterday by TransUnion. Currently, 68% of patients with a healthcare bill of at least $500 are not able to pay off the balance in full, up from 49% in 2014.
WOMAN CLAIMS COLLECTION AGENCY ADDED $75K IN FEES ON $145 DEBT
- A Florida woman is claiming a collection agency has added more than $75,000 in fees on a $145 debt for unpaid Homeownership Association fees. What makes this situation even more interesting is that the agency — LM Funding — released a statement to the TV news crew that was investigating the incident on behalf of the woman. What is missing is an explanation of how the fees came to be added.
