Disputes. There are disputes that are easy to recognize, like when a consumer says “I don’t owe that debt” or “I paid that already.” But then there are plenty of disputes that are not easy to recognize. For example, is it a dispute when a consumer says, “I thought I paid that already” or is it a dispute when a consumer says, “I need to check my records and get back to you.” The line between disputes and non-disputes is getting thinner and trickier to navigate with each passing day.

In this webinar, a panel of experts will discuss their perspectives on where the line is between disputes and non-disputes and how to teach collectors to see where that line is for themselves during calls with consumers.
