Every few days, I get an email from someone asking a question about a webinar that they missed or making sure their email address was still on the distribution list for The Daily Digest because they stopped receiving it, or some other reason, and those emails often thank me for everything I have done for the industry. I try to make sure to tell each person who thanks me that reading that makes my day — because it does. But I wanted to take a minute and thank you for everything you have done to make AccountsRecovery.net what it is today.
Barring any major news or issues, I will host my last webinar of the year tomorrow. Tomorrow’s webinar will be the 302nd webinar I have hosted in 2022. Last year, I hosted 264. In 2020, it was 129. In those 302, webinars, there have been:
- More than 34,000 webinar registrations
- 878 total panelists
- 295 different individuals who participated as a panelist at least once
- 31 different companies that sponsored at least one webinar
For those of you keeping score at home, Leslie Bender and LaDonna Bohling tied for the most webinar appearances in 2022 — each with 19. Heath Morgan just missed first place with 18, followed by Joann Needleman with 13, and Brit Suttell, Caren Enloe, Dan Medina, Harry Strausser, and Patrick Newman each with 12 panelist appearances. This was a very rough calculation, so I apologize in advance if I made any mistakes.
I have made this comment many times and meant it every time — nobody ever signs up for a webinar to hear me talk. So to everyone who took time out of their schedule to share their insights and perspectives with their colleagues in the ARM industry, thank you.
I started this by mentioning how often people thank me for everything I do for the ARM industry. But it’s very important to me that I thank you for making the ARM industry what it is. This is a special place filled with people who care about each other, and care about the people they are trying to help. Your continued support means the world to me and it is something I never take for granted. Whether it’s asking a question or making a comment during a webinar, sending in a picture of your pet, submitting a caption for the monthly contest, or just reading The Daily Digest or listening to a webinar, this is only a community because you choose to participate. That participation needs to be celebrated. So thank you for everything you have done for the ARM industry. You have made this more than just a job. You have made this a home. I can’t wait to see what 2023 brings.
I’m happy to be in the same sentence as Leslie Bender. Seriously, Mike, thank you for bringing all the great topics and speakers to help the industry.
