How did you get your start in the industry?
I began my journey as a Collections Account Specialist (collector).
What is your career highlight so far?
Co-training hundreds of collectors and team leads for the Collection Advantage online training program alongside Mary Shores.
When or how are you most productive?
When I’m in the office working alongside and supporting my amazing team. Oh, and let’s not forget the fuel, AKA coffee!
Which industry professional do you admire most?
Mary Shores, she’s been an inspiration and an outstanding mentor throughout my career.
What is one thing you do better than everyone else?
This is a tough one. I believe I encourage and motivate others to keep pushing themselves to further develop personally and professionally. I also know what to say at the right time. It’s like when other people don’t have the words, I’m in their head and complete their thoughts for them.
What do you like most about this industry?
The opportunity to interact with so many different people. There are some fantastic individuals in this industry and we all learn so much from each another!

What is one thing you wish you could change about this industry?
The negative stigma. I want people to understand how kind and compassionate debt collectors can be, and how we really do want to help consumers achieve financial freedom.
If you weren’t in this industry, what would you be doing?
I’d probably be doing a lot of what I do and enjoy these days: hiring, onboarding, training, and team management.
Describe a typical work day.
Continuous productivity from the moment I walk in the office (sometimes before I even make it in the door). I wear many hats so each day is jammed packed with a variety of opportunities to assist consumers, clients, my CEO, and my entire team.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Ice cream! Although, I secretly never feel guilty about eating it. Well, I guess it’s not a secret anymore.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
To do what you love, because that’s what will make you happiest.
What are you currently reading?
I’m actually getting ready to start a new book, “Super Brain – Unleashing the Explosive Power of Your Mind to Maximize Health, Happiness, and Spiritual Well-Being” by Deepak Chopra and Rudolph E. Tanzi.
What is one fact you’d like everyone in the industry to know about you?
I have the most loving and supportive family. I have an incredibly intelligent son and daughter who are shaping up to be amazing leaders, and a stay-at-home husband who does a phenomenal job homeschooling our children.
Who else would you like to see answer these questions?
