How did you get your start in the industry?
I was running restaurants and one of my best friends Rob Augg had recently been named Vice President of Renkim. I had never thought of leaving the restaurant industry but when he described the type of culture and team, he wanted to build I jumped at the opportunity.
What is your career highlight so far?
Renkim becoming 100% employee owned. Every person in the company having a vested interest in what we do and the partners we service has been amazing to witness over the past couple years.
When or how are you most productive?
When I stay organized and stick to a routine.
Which industry professional do you admire most?
Jason Hiland, his energy, and enthusiasm for the industry is infectious and unmatched. I am proud to call him a mentor and friend.
What is one thing you do better than everyone else?
I do not do anything better than everyone, but I do pride myself in always being positive and eager for knowledge and new experiences.
What do you like most about this industry?
The people. In six short years I have met some of the best people and made lifelong friendships.
What is one thing you wish you could change about this industry?
The constantly changing rules and laws.
Describe a typical work day.
There is never a typical day. A desired work day would be in person at a show or client/prospects office. At Renkim, we pride ourselves on customer service, so a typical day involves a lot of partner interaction through scheduled calls and hopefully visits very soon.
If you weren’t in this industry, what would you be doing?
Still running restaurants.

Our Vice President Rob Augg and I have been friends for more than 25 years. I was the best man at his wedding, and not only did he give me the opportunity in this industry, he gave me my first restaurant job at 17 years old.
