Business and Strategy Leader Chris Russell Joins Plaza Services Team

Plaza Services, LLC, a debt buyer in Atlanta, GA, is pleased to announce the recent addition of Chris Russell as Director of Inventory Management. In this role, Mr. Russell will be responsible for the strategic analysis, placement, and oversight of network operations for receivables inventory. 

Mr. Russell brings a robust background of proven leadership in the receivables management industry, including 7 years as Director of Operations for a creditors’ rights law firm and 13 years as Director of Acquisitions for an accounts receivable investment firm. In his most recent role, Mr. Russell worked in client relations and business development for portfolio acquisitions and valuations, oversaw a staff of up to fifty personnel, developed and implemented internal processes for strategic placement of purchased inventory, and coordinated with a nationwide legal network to ensure proper account management and reporting.

He brings to Plaza a unique skill set in developing and applying systems to better leverage the immense amount of information available. His addition further augments an exceptional legal team led by Jason Rheaume. Chris’s philosophies and values line up with our hands on approach to managing legal in a way that supports higher prices for sellers while minimizing their risk” says Gerald Lewis, CEO of Plaza Services.

In his prior role as Process Analyst for a creditors’ rights law firm, Mr. Russell applied his business analysis and management acuity to oversee the integration of company needs with technology and proprietary software and ensured efficient, compliant operations in all facets of the firm’s collections-related activities. He nurtured and developed client, vendor, and third-party relationships. He also worked to develop and implement various analytics tools and reporting mechanisms to optimize performance. 

When asked about his new position, Mr. Russell shared, “The team at Plaza Services consists of industry professionals with decades of combined experience and no sign of slowing down any time soon. When the conversation first began regarding the possibility of me coming on board,” he continued, “I was impressed not only with the data models and analytics being utilized by the company but also how down to earth everyone was. I love what I do and I can tell the team here is just as passionate, so I’m thrilled about the opportunity to join the team!” 

Mr. Russell is an RMAI Certified Receivables Compliance Professional (CRCP) and finds fulfillment in cultivating relationships, both professional and personal. As a proud grandfather, Mr. Russell can be found spending time with his family and young grandson where he resides in Little Rock, AR. Mr. Russell is a long-time guitarist and golfer, hobbies which he enjoys for creativity and relaxation. Whether practicing alone or on the course with friends, he is always glad for a chance to accommodate a round of golf in his busy schedule. Mr. Russell is also an avid supporter of Spina Bifida Association and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
