that Jim Richards had resigned his seat on the association’s board of directors, effective immediately. He has been replaced by Gregg Swersky, the chief relationship officer at Wakefield & Asscociates in Knoxville, Tenn.
While not giving a specific reason for his resignation, Richards said that he believes he has “made his contribution,” and that since Mark Need came on board as ACA’s chief executive officer earlier this year, “the association has gained traction in serving the needs of our members.”
Richards had been on ACA’s board for six and a half years, according to an announcement released by the association.
Swerksy has been in the ARM industry for more than 40 years, starting as a telephone collector.
“With this opportunity, I promise to be a servant to all members and ACA International and to do so with diligence and pride,” Swersky said.
Swersky will remain on the board for the duration of Richards’ original term, which runs through July 2019. Richards was most recently re-elected to the board in 2017.
“Gregg Swersky is a welcome addition to our talented, effective board,” said Jack Brown III, ACA’s president. “As an association that exists to help members succeed, ACA International looks to its board of directors to provide guidance related to our mission, strategy and goals. We are truly honored that Gregg will be joining us to help continue the innovative work the board and membership have engaged in during the past few years as we seek to help shape a regulatory, legislative and economic environment that allows ACA’s members to succeed.”
