Gordon Beck, the chief executive of Diversified Consultants, Inc., is no longer with the collection agency.
Beck had spent nearly 20 years at the firm, rising through the ranks to become CEO. He was promoted to chief executive of the company last July, replacing Charlotte Zehnder, who was described as the “matriarch” of the company in a press release announcing the promotion. Zehnder had been serving as chairman of the board and is the company’s majority shareholder. She had spent seven years of CEO.
A representative from DCI said that he was “not permitted to discuss any details relating to Mr. Gordon Beck.” There were no indications who would replace Beck as CEO of the company, either on temporary or permanent basis.
Beck did not respond to a text message sent to his mobile phone.
DCI has enjoyed meteoric growth in recent years, quadrupling in size during the past 10 years. The company opened an office in Louisville, Kent., to go along with offices in Jacksonville, Fla., and Portland, Ore.
Beck had been running for a spot on the Board of Directors for ACA International, but was forced to withdraw his nomination because he was no longer working for a company that is member of the association.
