A Virginia woman has filed a lawsuit against Portfolio Recovery Associates, claiming the company attempted to contact her more than 1,500 times after the woman revoked consent to be contacted.
The woman is claiming injury under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act in that the calls wasted her time.
A copy of the complaint can be accessed here.
The calls began on Feb. 1, 2014 and the plaintiff, Melinda Howard, claims that she immediately revoked consent to be contacted. She claims that PRA has not stopped making the calls.
