Client demand has led the law firm of Maurice Wutscher to open its 14th office, this one in Cleveland, Ohio. The firm has hired an associate, Allison Hayes, to work in the office. Hayes joined the firm January 1.
She is the seventh attorney to be hired at Maurice Wutscher since April.
Donald Maurice, the firm’s principal, said that a need for a litigating attorney who could serve the Northeastern Ohio region was the impetus behind opening up the firm’s second office in the Buckeye State.
“Allison’s skill is in the realm of litigation,” Maurice said. “Trials are not something for the uninitiated.”
Hayes, who has worked in public defender’s and prosecutor’s offices, was editor of the Akron Law Review.
“Maurice Wutscher has a great name in this area of law,” Hayes said. “And the prospect of opening a new office was very exciting. It was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down.”
