- Medical bills – regardless of whether the individual has insurance or not – are taking a huge financial toll on consumers, according to a new study. Among people with insurance, 20% say they have had problems paying medical bills in the past year. For those without insurance, the number climbs to 53%.
AFNI HIRING 500 EMPLOYEES
- Afni is hiring more than 500 new employees in the next three months to work in its Tucson, Ariz., call centers. They will join 2,200 other employees currently working at three call centers Afni runs in the Tucson area.
CANNED GOLD
- Individuals with fines from the Nashville Public Library will be able to donate canned goods to pay off their fines. Each non-perishable item donated will wipe away $1 in overdue debts. The program runs from Jan. 9 to Jan. 17.
