- From ACA International: Fewer consumers are filing complaints against debt collectors with the Better Business Bureau. The BBB recorded 11% fewer complaints in 2014 than a year earlier against collection agencies. Debt collectors ranked fifth among the most complained-about categories, behind cell phone service, telephone companies; cable and satellite providers, and new car dealers.
