A Buffalo man who fired shots from a gun into the air last week, prompting school lockdowns and a manhunt, was firing while at a collection agency in Amherst, N.Y., according to a published report.
Brandon Wallace, 29, has been arrested and is facing a third-degree felony charge of criminal possession of a weapon.
The incident occurred last Friday at 495 Commerce Drive, in Amherst. A search of ACA International’s member database shows 11 different members who are located in Amherst, but none at that address. An online search yields a number of possible companies, but it is impossible to say with any certainty which one might have been the location that Wallace was at when he fired.
A local television station visited the location to find out more details but there were no signs indicating what kind of company was at the location. Local police have said it was a collection agency. No other details, including the motive for the shooting, are being released. The call to law enforcement on Friday came from a collections agency in the Audubon Business Park, according to a published report.
Wallace is facing charges in two other separate cases, including larceny, resisting arrest, and drug-related charges.
