ACA International has hired Leah Dempsey as vice president and senior counsel of federal advocacy.
Dempsey most recently worked for the Credit Union National Agency, a trade group for credit unions, as senior director of advocacy and counsel. In that role, she led the group’s consumer protection team. Dempsey is returning to ACA International, having previously served as legislative counsel between 2011 and 2013.
“We are proud to welcome Leah Dempsey to our team of world-class professionals who work diligently to help members succeed,” said Mark Neeb, the CEO of ACA International. “Leah is a skilled and accomplished attorney who holds a deep understanding of the legal advocacy, regulatory affairs, and Congressional issues that impact the accounts receivable management industry. Leah is well-known within Washington as an expert in consumer financial services issues, and a polished leader who will effectively represent the best interests of ACA International members.”
