COLLECTION AGENCY WINS FDCPA CASE OVER COLLECTION OF PREJUDGMENT INTEREST AND FEES
- In a ruling that was first reported by ACA International, a federal judge in Nebraska has ruled in favor of a collection agency in a class-action lawsuit after a plaintiff sued for alleged violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Nebraska Consumer Protection Act. The plaintiff, Trisha Robinson, had filed suit against the defendant, Accelerated Receivables Solutions, after she was sued by the agency over an unpaid medical debt.
