- In the latest development in an ongoing case that is being closely watched by everyone in the ARM industry, both the plaintiff and the defendants in a case filed by a collection agency owner against a number of plaintiffs’ attorneys accused of engaging in a “mafia” style racketeering scheme by soliciting clients and then filing class-action lawsuits have separately appealed rulings to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. The plaintiff is appealing a motion to dismiss the lawsuit while the defendants are appealing a motion denying sanctions.
CFPB HQ DEALING WITH RAT ‘INFESTATION’: REPORT
- The headquarters of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is dealing with a rat infestation, according to a published report. A spokesman for the agency confirmed there is a rodent problem in the building, related to ongoing construction on a couple of floors of the six-storey building. Employees for the agency moved into their new digs last October, after a $124 million renovation was completed.

Goshen Health operates 20 facilities in Goshen, Indiana. Amy Floria, the chief financial officer of Goshen Health, spoke at a conference in Las Vegas this week and detailed how the company improved from collecting $2,500 per month in 2014 to $240,000 per month in 2017, according to a published report.
PERFORMANT RELEASES 4Q, 2017 EARNINGS
- Performant Financial Corp. has released its fourth quarter and full-year 2017 financial reports. The company reported revenue of $33.3 million during the final three months of 2017, down from $33.8 million during the same period a year earlier. For all of 2017, the company’s revenue was $132 million, down from $141.4 million in 2016.
