- The city of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is sending unpaid tickets generated by traffic tickets to collections, and reporting the unpaid fines on the vehicle owners’ credit reports, which could be a no-no under a proposed deal between the three major agencies and 31 state attorneys general.
- Economists from the Federal Reserve Board of New York have published a study that analyzes the data that consumers report about their debt levels, compared with data that lenders report. With the exception of credit card debt, the amounts reported are strikingly similar.
